Refrigerator Spiced Prunes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. prunes (about 42)
  • 4 c. water

Method

  • Combine all ingredients in a saucepan (tie cloves in a piece of cheesecloth). Bring to a boil and simmer 7 minutes. Remove cloves.
  • Cool, cover and chill in the refrigerator 24 hours or longer. Serve as a relish or garnish with meats or poultry. Allow 2 prunes to a serving.
