This relish is spiced to make meats taste better—especially pork

Ingredients

12 medium apples, peeled and cored
3 qts. water
3 tblsp.

Gluten-free
Vegan

Method

Cut apples into eighths and cover with water and vinegar.
Combine all other ingredients in kettle. Bring slowly to a boil.
Add well-drained apples; cover and boil 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pack apple sticks in hot jars and cover with liquid; adjust lids. Process in boiling water bath (212°) 15 minutes.
