Ingredients: 2½ c. sifted flour; ½ tsp. salt; 2 eggs, separated; Milk; 1 c. shortening; 1½ c. crushed corn flakes; 1 c. sugar; 5 c. sliced peeled tart apples (about 8 medium); 1½ tsp. ground cinnamon; 1¼ c. sifted confectioners sugar; ½ tsp. vanilla; 3 tblsp. water

2½ c. sifted flour
½ tsp. salt
1 c.

Method

Combine flour and salt in bowl. Cut in shortening.
In a measuring cup, beat egg yolks with enough milk to make ⅔ c. Add to flour mixture; toss lightly.
Divide dough almost in half. Roll larger portion to fit a 15½ X 10½ X 1" jelly roll pan. Sprinkle with corn flakes. Spread apples over flakes.
