Method

Heat together 2 c. water, c. vinegar and c. butter or regular margarine. Combine c. flour, 1 c. sugar, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon and tsp. ground nutmeg; mix thoroughly. Stir into hot mixture; cook over low heat, stirring until thickened. Pour warm over apple dumplings.
