Maraschino Cherry Sauce

Name: Maraschino Cherry Sauce
Yield: Makes 1¼ cups
Ingredients: Bring to boil and cook about 3 minutes until sauce is clear and slightly syrupy. Remove from heat. Chop 6 maraschino cherries, then crush with fork (skins will pop off; remove them). Add crushed cherries and 3 drops red food color to sauce. Refrigerate in covered container.
