Charming party dessert—lovely colors, wonderful flavor blend

  • Soften orange ice or sherbet; stir until smooth. Spoon into 8 individual molds that have been rinsed with ice water. Freeze. (Or freeze scoops of sherbet on metal tray until very firm.)
  • Wash and hull strawberries. Refrigerate until serving time.
  • To serve, place individual serving dishes in freezer until very cold. Unmold orange ice into cold serving dishes by wrapping a cloth dipped in warm water around each mold. Spoon ½ c. whole strawberries and 1 tblsp. Maraschino Cherry Sauce over each serving. (If you are a wine cook, try 2 tblsp. port wine instead of the cherry sauce.) Serve quickly.
