Chunky Cider Applesauce

You can add some heavy cream and a shake of cinnamon—yummy

Ingredients

  • 9 c. sliced peeled apples
  • ½ c. apple cider
  • 1 tblsp

Method

  • Combine apples, cider and lemon juice in 3-qt. saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat and simmer until apples are tender, about 20 minutes.
  • Add sugar, salt and nutmeg; cook 1 minute longer. Break up apples into chunks. Cool and refrigerate until serving time.
