A long-keeper. Serve warm or cold with a hot lemon sauce


  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • ½ c. sugar
  • ½ tsp.


  • Sift together dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Stir in orange peel.
  • In a separate bowl, beat eggs until thick, light and foamy. Add molasses in a stream, beating constantly. Gradually beat in buttermilk.
