Blend together 2 tblsp. butter or shortening, 2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted, ¼ tsp. salt and ½ tsp. vanilla. Add c. sifted confectioners sugar alternately with ¼ to ⅓ c. milk; beat until smooth. If thinner glaze is desired, add a little more milk.
