Potato Chocolate Cake

Cake is rather moist and it stays fresh several days when covered


  • ½ c. milk
  • 3 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 c. <


  • Heat milk slowly in saucepan. Add chocolate, and stir to melt. Cool.
  • Cream shortening and 1¾ c. sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Combine chocolate mixture with potatoes. Add to creamed mixture. Beat in egg yolks.
