Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or regular margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 5

Method

  1. Cream butter well, add sugar gradually. Beat until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs and melted chocolate. Blend well. Add vanilla.
  3. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; add alternately with buttermilk to first mixture. Fold in nuts.
  4. Pour batter in 2 greased 8 X 4½ X 2½" loaf pans. Bake in slow oven (325°) 1 hour. Cool on racks.
