Ingredients

  • 4 c. sifted flour
  • 4 tsp. baking soda
  • tsp.

Method

  • Sift together flour, soda, salt, spices and cocoa.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine oil and sugar. Beat until well blended. Stir in hot applesauce, blending thoroughly. Add dry ingredients, blending well. Stir in raisins and walnuts.
  • Turn batter into two well-greased and floured 9" square pans. Bake in hot oven (400°) 15 minutes; then reduce oven temperat
