The wife of a New England apple grower invented this fine cake recipe
Ingredients
3 tblsp 1 c 1
Method
- Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and mix well.
- Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in apples, nuts and vanilla.
- Pour into greased 8" square pan. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 40 to 45 minutes. Serve hot or cold, plain or with whipped cream or ice cream topping.
