Fruited cake bakes in layers—you put them together and frost in white

Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • c. sugar
  • 4 eggs

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs.
  • Sift flour with baking powder; add alternately with milk to creamed mixture, beating until well blended.
  • Pour 2⅔ c. batter into a greased and floured 9" round layer cake pan. Add remaining ingredients, except frosting, to rest of batter. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9" round layer cake pans.
