Mix ¼ c. water, 1 tblsp. light corn syrup, 3 c. sifted confectioners sugar and tsp. salt in top of double boiler. Heat just until lukewarm, stirring occasionally. Remove from hot water and add 1 tsp. vanilla. Divide and tint different colors with food color. Cool slightly.
