Ingredients: 1 tsp. baking powder; 1 tsp. baking soda; 1 tsp. ground cinnamon; 1 tsp. ground nutmeg; 1 tsp. ground allspice; 1 c. cooked and mashed prunes; 1 c. buttermilk; 1 c. chopped pecans; 1 c. salad oil; 1½ c. sugar; 3 eggs; 2 c. sifted flour; ½ tsp. salt; Caramel Glaze

Work fast—pour hot glaze on cake as soon as it comes from oven

Ingredients

1 c. salad oil
1½ c. sugar
3 eggs

Method

Cream together oil and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together dry ingredients. Add alternately to creamed mixture with prunes and buttermilk. Stir in pecans.
Pour into greased and floured 13 X 9 X 2" pan. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 35 minutes. Put pan on rack. Pour hot Caramel Glaze over cake.
