Crush ½ c. fresh strawberries. Add ½ c. water and cook 2 minutes; strain through sieve. Combine ¼ c. sugar and 1 tblsp. cornstarch in small saucepan; stir in berry juice. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and clear. Cool; spoon carefully over strawberries in the pie.
