  • ½ c. butter
  • c. sifted flour
  • 1 c.

Method

  • Melt butter in heavy saucepan. Add flour and stir to make smooth paste. Mix in ¼ c. sugar. Add water slowly, stirring to make a smooth mixture. Add remaining sugar, lemon juice and peel.
