  • 1⅓ c. fine vanilla wafer crumbs (about 24 wafers)
  • ¼ c. soft butter or regular margarine


  • Mix vanilla wafer crumbs with butter until crumbly. Press on bottom and sides of 8 or 9" pie pan, reserving 3 tblsp. mixture to sprinkle on top of pie, if desired. Bake in moderate oven (375°) 8 minutes, or until edge is lightly browned.
