Unbaked 9" pie shell
½ c. sugar
½ c. brown sugar, firmly packed

Method

Combine ½ c. white sugar, brown sugar and corn syrup in saucepan. Heat just to boiling. Remove from heat and add butter. Stir until butter melts.
Gradually stir hot mixture into eggs. Stir in black walnuts.
Combine 1 tblsp. sugar and the flour. Sprinkle evenly over bottom of pastry-lined pie pan. Turn walnut mixture into pastry.
