  • About

Many who eat this think it’s pecan pie; it’s less expensive, but luscious

  • Unbaked 9" pie shell
  • ¼ c. butter or regular margarine
  • ½ c. sugar
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. quick-cooking rolled oats

  • Cream together butter and sugar. Add cinnamon, cloves and salt. Stir in syrup.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, stirring after each addition until blended. Stir in oats.
  • Pour into pie shell and bake in moderate oven (350°) about 1 hour, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
