Pastry for 2-crust pie

  • 1⅔ c. prepared mincemeat
  • 1 (7 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce (1 c.)
  • ¼ c. honey
  • ½ tsp. grated lemon peel
  • 1 tsp. flour
  • tsp. salt


  • Combine mincemeat, cranberry sauce (canned or home cooked), honey and peel. Add flour and salt; mix. Pour into pastry-lined 9" pie pan. Moisten pastry rim with water.
  • Roll out top crust; cut design with knife or make lattice pastry top. Adjust top over filling; seal and crimp edges.
  • Bake in hot oven (400°) 35 minutes, until lightly browned.
