Ingredients: 6 lbs. green tomatoes; 2 lbs. tart apples; 2 c. strong coffee; 1 lemon (grated peel and juice); 2 c. raisins; 4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed; 1 tsp. ground allspice; 2 tsp. grated orange peel; ½ c. vinegar; 1 tsp. salt; 1 tsp. ground nutmeg

Ingredients

6 lbs. green tomatoes
2 lbs. tart apples
2 c

Pie
Gluten-free
Vegetarian

Method

Core and quarter tomatoes and apples; put through food chopper with raisins.
Combine all ingredients in large saucepan. Simmer 2 hours, stirring frequently.
Pack at once in hot pint jars. Adjust lids. Process in boiling water bath (212°) 25 minutes.
Remove jars from canner and complete seals unless closures are self-sealing type.
