  • 3 lbs. beef round
  • Water
  • ½ lb. suet
  • qts


  • Simmer beef in small amount water until tender; remove, cool, discard bone or gristle and put meat through food chopper (medium blade). Cook down stock until ¾ c. remains.
  • Grind suet fine. Combine meat, suet and apples in 2-gal. crock. Add raisins, currants, citron and orange peel.
