For variety bake part of dough in logs—bonbons are very pretty


  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • ¼ c. sugar
  • ½ tsp.


  • Sift flour, sugar and salt into mixing bowl. Blend in butter and vanilla with pastry blender. Add 2 c. nuts.
  • Shape half the dough into ½" balls. Roll in remaining nuts. Place about 1½" apart on greased baking sheet and bake in moderate oven (350°) 15 to 20 minutes. Cool cookies on racks.
  • Roll remaining dough into logs; bake. While warm, roll in confecti
