2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs

Method

Beat together 2 c. sugar and shortening until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs to mix thoroughly.
Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Stir into creamed mixture. On lightly floured waxed paper, form dough into four rolls, each about 12" long and 1 to 1¼" in diameter. Cut in 1" slices. Dip tops of cookies in mixture of cinnamon and 2 tblsp. su
