Ingredients

¾ c. butter or regular margarine

Method

Beat butter until light; add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla to blend well. Stir in flour, allspice and almonds.
Spoon about half of mixture into lightly greased 9" square pan. Carefully spread strawberry jam over top. Top with remaining dough.
