Ingredients: Lemon Glaze; ½ c. finely chopped citron; ½ c. chopped raisins or currants; 1 c. chopped nuts; ⅛ tsp. salt; ¼ tsp. baking soda; ¼ tsp. cloves; ¼ tsp. ground ginger; 1¾ c. sifted flour; 1¾ tsp. ground cinnamon; 2 tblsp. dairy sour cream or buttermilk; 1 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed; 2 eggs; ⅔ c. butter or regular margarine

1 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed

Method

Beat butter until light. Gradually add brown sugar and beat after each addition until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating to mix thoroughly. Stir in sour cream.
Sift together flour, spices, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture and beat until batter is smooth. Gradually add nuts, raisins and citron.
