Ingredients: ½ c. shortening; 1 tsp. ground cinnamon; 1 tsp. baking powder; ¼ tsp. baking soda; ½ tsp. salt; 1 egg; ¾ c. sugar; 2 c. sifted flour; ½ tsp. vanilla; ½ c. dairy sour cream; ½ c. chopped black walnuts

½ c. shortening
¾ c. sugar
1 egg

Cookies

Method

Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Stir in walnuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2" apart onto greased baking sheet. Press flat with bottom of drinking glass, dipping glass into sugar before pressing each cookie.
