Ingredients: 1 c. sugar; ½ c. shortening; 1 tsp. ground cinnamon; ½ tsp. salt; ⅓ c. milk; 1 tsp. vanilla; 3 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted; 1 egg, well beaten; 1 c. chopped nuts; 1 c. chopped raisins; 1⅓ c. sifted flour; 2 tsp. baking powder

Ingredients

1⅓ c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp

Vegetarian

Method

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
Cream shortening; add sugar gradually; cream until fluffy.
Add egg to creamed mixture with chocolate; blend well. Add vanilla and milk. Stir in dry ingredients, raisins and nuts. Mix well; chill 30 minutes.
Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2" apart onto greased baking sheet. Bake in moderate ove
