Ingredients

1½ c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1½ tsp

Cookies

Method

Sift together flour, soda and salt
Cream shortening; add sugars gradually; beat until light; add eggs and vanilla.
Combine sifted dry ingredients and creamed mixture; blend thoroughly. Add oats.
Shape dough into rolls 2" in diameter. Wrap tightly in waxed paper and chill thoroughly.
Cut into ⅛" slices; bake 1½" apart on ungreased bak
