Ingredients: ½ tsp. baking soda; ½ tsp. salt; 1 tsp. ground cinnamon; ½ c. chopped walnuts; 1 egg; 1 c. sugar; ¾ c. butter; 3 c. sifted flour; ¾ c. prepared mincemeat; 1 tsp. finely grated lemon peel; ½ tsp. vanilla

Ingredients

¾ c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg

Method

Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, vanilla and lemon peel. Stir in mincemeat.
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; gradually add to creamed mixture; mix well. Stir in nuts.
Divide dough in half. Place each part on a lightly floured sheet of waxed paper and form in a roll 1½" in diameter, about 12" long.
