Change shape of these tender cookies by using different press plates


  • 1 c. butter
  • c. confectioners sugar
  • 1 egg


  • Combine butter, sugar, egg, egg yolk and almond extract. Work in flour.
  • Use a fourth of the dough at a time; force it through cookie press 1" apart onto ungreased baking sheet in desired shapes. Bake in hot oven (400°) 7 to 10 minutes, or until set but not browned. Remove cookies and cool on racks.
