Just the health drink for folks who are a little underweight


  • ½ c. malted milk powder
  • 3 c. milk
  • 4 egg yolks, beaten
  • ¾ c. chocolate syrup
  • tblsp. sugar
  • 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • Ground nutmeg


  • Mix malted powder with ¼ c. milk to form a smooth paste. Stir in beaten egg yolks. Add remaining milk and chocolate syrup.
  • Add sugar to beaten egg whites. Add half of whites to chocolate mixture; beat with rotary beater, or shake until foamy. Pour over crushed ice in tall glasses.
  • Pile remaining egg white meringue on top of each glass. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
