Surprise flavor delight. You can make it a day ahead and refrigerate

Ingredients

  • 2 (1 lb. 1 oz.) cans fruit for salad or fruit cocktail
  • 1

Method

  • Drain syrup from fruit into saucepan. Add lemon juice, spices (tied in cheesecloth bag) and salt. Boil 5 minutes. Remove spices. Pour over fruit. Chill several hours or overnight.
  • Serve in sherbet glasses. Garnish each serving with a sprig of mint, if you like.
