  • 1 cup finely cubed ripe tomatoes
  • tablespoons finely chopped, stemmed, seeded jalapeño or serrano chilies
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • ½ teaspoon crumbled dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion


Combine the ingredients in a small mixing bowl and crush. Set aside until ready to use.
