  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 to 1½ cups<

Method

  1. Melt the butter in a medium-size saucepan. Add the flour and immediately start stirring with a wire whisk.
  2. Add the milk all at once, stirring rapidly with the whisk. Add the salt and pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, about 5 minutes.
