Pink Grapefruit Grilled with Honey

Pamplemousse rose grillé au miel

Preparation time: 20 minutes


  • 4 tablespoons thick honey
  • 2 pink grapefruit


  • 1 ovenproof dish
  • 1 serving plate
  • 1 very sharp kitchen knife
  • 1 grapefruit knife
  • 1 small chopping-board


Cut the grapefruit in half. Separate the segments from their membranes, using a grapefruit knife to cut round the outside. Spread a tablespoon of honey over each half grapefruit.

Heat the grill. When it is really hot, grill the grapefruit for 7–8 minutes. The heat will burst the top layer of their flesh and lightly caramelise it.

This recipe makes an unusual and delicious first course.
