Puli Torta


  • 6 eggs, separated
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup grated semisweet chocolate
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¼ cup flour
  • Butter
  • Flour
  • Walnut Filling II


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Whip the egg yolks with the sugar till foamy. Add the grated chocolate, salt and flour.
  2. Whip egg whites till they form peaks. Very gently fold into the first mixture; try not to break the egg-white foam.
  3. Butter a baking sheet 17 by 12 inches, and sprinkle with flour. Pour the batter on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Put it aside to cool.
  5. Make the filling.
  6. Cut the torte into 2 pieces. Fill with some of the walnut filling, and cover top and sides with the rest.
