Almond Crescents

  • 1⅔ cups flour
  • ½ pound butter
  • 1 cup ground blanched almonds
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup confectioners’ sugar
  • vanilla sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix flour and butter together till they form crumbs. Then add ground almonds, salt and confectioners’ sugar. Mix well.
  2. Cut dough into walnut-sized pieces and roll to form pieces 4 inches long and ½ inch thick. Twist each one slightly to make a crescent shape.
  3. Place crescents on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes.
  4. While crescents are still warm, dust them with vanilla sugar.
