An easy meat-and-potato curry to please everyone, this offering packs quite a punch in every bite. Serve it with a slightly starchy, newer crop of long-grain white rice to soak up some of the potent capsaicin in the chiles. I often serve a bowl of plain, cooling yogurt for my eight-year-old, who appreciates its comfort-giving quality. Does that make him refrain from eating more of the curry? Not at all, as he surprises me with a request for seconds.
