One benefit of writing a cookbook is that it gives you permission to invite yourself into total strangers’ houses for a meal. Mrs. Pratima Revenkar is my sister-in-law’s neighbor in a high-rise in Borivili, a suburb of Mumbai. She and her husband had moved from Goa in search of a fruitful career, leaving behind the resort state’s beaches, cashew plantations, and natural beauty but bringing along her love for fruits from the sea.
