Karwar is a resort community along the Konkan coast, just south of Goa. Dotted with must-see beaches and vacation hot spots, Karwar is a tranquil community that forces you to slow down and savor the culinary fruits that swim ashore from the sea. Punchy crabs, clawing lobsters, scurrying prawns, and chubby fishes find themselves wrapped in sauces flavored with an abundance of local sweet coconuts and assertive chiles. Even though I use shrimp here, any of the aforementioned seafood would be a great stand-in for this curry. Serve it with Malabar paranthas, a flaky bread from the neighboring state of Kerala, for a winsome meal.
