  • About

I cannot think of a better drink to serve as a precursor to a curry meal than this one. Clear-tasting, tart, sweet with peppery undertones, this drink is delicious poured over ice—or you can add a peg (or two) of high-quality gin or vodka for a refreshing cocktail. Guests are always offered a cool beverage as they enter an Indian’s home, and this is a favorite. The salt and pepper in the drink elevates the beverage’s sweetness and quenches thirst during the oppressive summer months.
