Method

  • Bring simple syrup and the vanilla bean paste or vanilla bean to the boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for approximately 5 minutes, or until the vanilla flavors comes through clearly in the syrup.
  • Remove from the heat and cool. Add the eau de vie de poire, if using, and stir to combine.
