BUTTER A BAKING TIN OR DISH AND POUR IN THE BATTER.
BRING THE SAUCE INGREDIENTS TO THE BOIL IN A SAUCEPAN. Pour half over the pudding and place it under the oven grill, until bubbles form on top.
SERVE THE PUDDING WITH THE REST OF THE SAUCE AND, IF YOU LIKE, SOME CRÈME FRAÎCHE OR CLOTTED CREAM IF YOU HAVE IT ON HAND.
