When you’re looking for maximum crunch, try boiled bacon. It sounds odd, but this cooking method results in extra-crispy bacon. While bacon has a high amount of sodium, turkey bacon is often thought to be a great replacement but actually has almost as much sodium. I am not a fan. But if you want to reduce sodium in regular bacon, boiled bacon is the way to go. The water will absorb some of the salt, and it will evaporate out in the boil.
