Candied Sweet Potatoes

Bacon fat and brown sugar are a match made in heaven, and they make for an awesome sauce. As it turns out, bacon grease, which has a high salt content, also complements sweet potatoes very well. By frying the sweet potatoes in the bacon fat, you get a sweet and savory potato. And since brown sugar is often used to candy bacon, a similar flavor profile happens with this dish once everything comes together.
