I know this sounds like a mad idea, but I came across it in a ringbound book I bought off the Net in the middle of the night called The Joy of Muffins. Joy indeed, for what do you know, these taste so good: gooey, crunchy, soft and filling; sticky buns for the slapdash cook.

For the filling

  • 100 g chopped walnuts
  • 75 g demerara sugar

Method

Preheat the oven to 200°C/gas mark 6.
