Method

This is more a guide to the icing than anything else, since the cake beneath is, again, the ordinary fairy cake.

For the cobwebs, you need to make up a batch of white icing using the instant royal icing, and another of black, which you make by melting the chocolate in the microwave (on a medium heat for a minute or two) or in a bain-marie (i.e., a bowl sitting over a pan of hot water, w
